Ingredients:

  • Quick oats: 1 ⅓ cups (160 g)

  • Rice Krispies: 1 cup (80 g) (substitute with puffed rice, millet, or quinoa)

  • Sea salt: ¼ tsp (1.5 g)

  • Unsweetened vanilla almond milk: ¼ cup (60 mL)

  • Cherry De-Lite dried tart cherries, chopped: ⅓ cup (50 g)

  • Dark chocolate chips: 3 tbsp (25 g)

  • Chia seeds: 2 tbsp (20 g)

Equipment needed:

  • 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan

  • Parchment paper or foil

  • Nonstick cooking spray

  • Large mixing bowl

  • Spatula

  • Measuring cups and spoons

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (149°C). Line the baking pan with parchment paper or foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the nut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and well blended.

  3. Stir in the oats, Rice Krispies, sea salt, and protein powder until the mixture is well-coated, thick, and sticky.

  4. Add the almond milk and stir again until fully incorporated.

  5. Fold in the chopped Cherry De-Lite tart cherries, dark chocolate chips, and chia seeds.

  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and use a spatula to spread it evenly.

  7. Press the mixture down firmly with your hands to ensure the bars hold together.

  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

  9. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.

  10. Cut into 10 bars.
